Dolly Coullard, DNP, FNP-C

Dolly Coullard, DNP, FNP-C, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 15 years of nursing and advanced practice experience. Originally from Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, Dolly brings a diverse clinical background and a strong commitment to providing compassionate, comprehensive care to patients of all ages.

Dolly earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Lake Superior State University in 2007. She began her nursing career in home health and hospice before expanding her experience in the hospital setting, where she worked in medical-surgical nursing, intensive care, obstetrics, chemotherapy, and infusion services.

She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati in 2011 and became nationally certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She then spent more than a decade providing primary care at a Federally Qualified Health Center serving a Native American community. During this time, she also provided care through community programs focused on women’s health, breast and cervical cancer screening, family planning, and early childhood development.

In 2022, Dolly earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree through Duke University and completed additional training in endocrinology, further strengthening her ability to care for patients with diabetes and other endocrine-related conditions.

Dolly relocated to North Carolina to fulfill a longtime dream of living near the Smoky Mountains. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her four adult sons and her two “DOG-ders.” An avid outdoor enthusiast, Dolly enjoys hiking and has a goal of exploring the Appalachian Trail. She is also a longtime runner who completed the Marquette Marathon in 2017 along with numerous half marathons.

When she isn’t caring for patients or enjoying the outdoors, Dolly can often be found practicing yoga or working on one of her many creative interests, including woodworking, resin pouring, leather tooling, and watercolor painting.

Dolly is excited to call Western North Carolina home and looks forward to caring for individuals and families throughout our community as part of the Chatuge Family Practice team.
